Homemade Oatmeal to Go!!

So Easy and Filling! Not to mention good for you!

Here's what you'll need:

2 cups oats
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 sugar (you can also use Splenda)
1 egg
1 1/4 cup of milk
2 teaspoons of vanilla

Also anything you want in them. I decided to make a few different kinds. I had cinnamon, blueberries and strawberries, peanut butter, brown sugar and maple syrup(light). But you can put in whatever you like!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Next add all your dry ingredients into a large bowl, mix. Add all your wet ingredients into a smaller bowl, stir your wet ingredients together good. Now add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Next put your fill your paper cups with the mixture(you may want to spray a little non stick spray into them first to prevent sticking) Now add whatever toppings or mix ins(you can also do this in small bowls before you fill the cups) Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes! Let cool completely!!

Depending on the toppings you put into them is going to determine the total calories but the base recipe without any add ins is about 130 calories per serving, which isn't a bad breakfast!
Enjoy!!

Here is The March Madness Workout

I'm also adding a little of butt/legs work out from the Victoria Secrets work outs!!

How to Save your Exercise/Diet Plan!

Ok so today as I was eating a very unhealthy lunch and realized I had completely been neglecting my diet/workout for the past 4 days (see post below)and I became kinda depressed. And started asking the normal questions. Why didn't I just bring my work out clothes and shoes? Why didn't I eat better for the past few meals? Etc. Well I had to stop myself.

Ok so I skipped everything for Four days. Now it's Punishment Time! Tonight I am going to eat salad and protein for dinner and here comes the big sting.. I'm going to do all my missed March Madness workouts...Tonight!!

Here are the keys when you've missed your workouts or you've not followed your diet.

1.You pick up right were you left off! Once you've realized you messed up, start fixing it!
2. Just keep going! Just because you've messed up doesn't mean you should quit!
3. Always stay motivated! Keep something or some one around that you can look at or talk to so you stay motivated and focused!
4. Quit making excuses! Any excuse no matter what it is (I'm tired, I'm too busy) is still just that an Excuse!
5. Quit talking bad about yourself! Working out isn't just physical, a lot of it is mental too! If you keep putting yourself down and talking bad about your body, you will become unmotivated and it will seem impossible, but it's not!!!
6. Lastly, Treating yourself! I have never done well with "cheat days" because I try and cheat on my diet All day! Lol so what I do is I try to schedule it. If its something you've been wanting all week, work it in. Eat a low cal breakfast and work out for 15 more minutes. Just make sure you actually work it in and not just do it!

For me at home I have been hanging my favorite swim suit up for me to look at when I want to give up or take a break from a work out! Also I feel SO much better when I'm dieting not just because I can see the effects(slowly) but because I am eating better too!!

Also I'm going to treat myself afterwards with painting my nails, while watching a movie and sipping on a 70 calorie drink!! Light vanilla flavored rum and Diet Coke!! Yum!

This picture really spoke a thousand words to me because it's always true!!

So WTF Happened?

Ok so I was supposed to be doing this March Madness Workout. I did this on the first of March, super easy. I was also trying to eat skinny as well as drink skinny. So sadly I've realized i've stopped all three...So tonight I have decided I am picking up right were I stopped.

Everyone has some sort of obstacle that is hard to deal with when dieting. For some it's food, some it's giving up their beer/liquor. For me it's going out of town. Lately we've been going almost every other week(for a few days) to Drew's parents house. Which I love going to because it's like a mini vacation, including vacation-like food and drinks. We almost always go out to our favorite steak house, which serves my Favorite cocktail. And his mom is a great cook so it's really hard to resist! I also don't exercise while I'm there. Well today this is our second day here and already I've had a unhealthy lunch. So tonight I'm going to try to start undoing the damage!!!
First I'm going to make myself eat a salad. No matter where we go or what we have! Secondly I will not be having any type of fruity or frozen drinks except for a vanilla flavored vodka with diet coke= 70 calories. That's if I do my full work out!

Here goes!

For That Hippie Long Hair

So last night through my intoxication I decided to try an Olive Oil hair treatment. I noticed the other day that since I've been using my straightener a lot more lately my poor hair had some Pretty bad split ends!! So I went online and looked up home remedies just for that!

You take 1/4 cup of olive oil and heat it up for about 15 seconds maybe a little longer but only until it gets warm. Make sure it's not too hot! Next take a little oil in your hands at a time and run your hands through your hair. Do this until your hair is covered, now put the extra left over in the ends. Now let it sit for a few hours, I did it for four, some even leave it in overnight. After you've let it sit for a while, wash your hair. I used shampoo twice, also make sure you wash your body good as well so no oil is sitting on your skin. Let your hair dry naturally. I wouldn't recommend doing this the night before work or a special event because after you let dry naturally it will most likely still be a little oily so I did it at night let my hair dry, went to bed and washed it when I got up!

I definitely recommend this treatment. It made my hair feel so much better!!
